World of Warcraft Cataclysm Release

“There is not a single case of game addiction that we have worked with in which World of Warcraft has not played a part.”

“It is the crack cocaine of the computer game world. Some will play it till they drop.” Sven Rollenhagen, Sweden Youth Care Foundation

World of Warcraft is a dangerous child’s game that teaches children about black magic and death rituals. It encourages them to team up with friends “online” to form death squads who wield bladed weapons to violently bludgeon adversaries to the point of death.

In February, we condemned World of Warcraft to be as addictive as cocaine, after we collaborated with The Daily Mail to break an interview with an innocent teenage victim who became so addicted he played for 24 hours straight and then had convulsions.

With such alarming facts, all parents must beware that the advertising executives of Blizzard, WoW’s parent company, are releasing a new game named World of Warcraft Cataclysm.

This game promises more violence and addiction to the dark arts and new ways to murder people in the guise of online avatars.

My dear friends, please beware and forbid this game to enter your household! Our friends at the Sweden Youth Care Foundation have described this game as ‘the most dangerous game on the market’.

Sven Rollenhagen told us: “There is not a single case of game addiction that we have worked with in which World of Warcraft has not played a part.”

Rollenhagen continued, “It is the crack cocaine of the computer game world. Some will play it till they drop.”

Such was the case for a precious 15-year-old child in Sweden. He could have been your son. After playing for 24 hours straight, unable to break the game’s Satanic spell over his mind, the child collapsed and nearly succumbed to the deadly disease of violent game induced seizures.

Despite these facts Blizzard’s advertising team is slinging their new drug to your teens. Remember that just like pornography, violent games are drugs for the mind. They will addict your child and then lead them to a lifestyle of violence, depression and then death.

Blizzcon 2009 highlighted this game and got WoW addicts primed to need their new fix. While balding old men preyed on young children who sneaked to the gaming festival, the studio executives allowed children to stare at new rendered pixelated images of destruction so as to put them in a gaming trance.

Psychiatrist Dr Richard Graham of the Tavistock Center is well apprised of this sinister marketing technique:

“Some of my clients will discuss playing games for 14, 16 hours a day at times, without breaks and without attending to their physical needs.”

“For those, the consequences are potentially severe.”

“Such prolonged gaming can produce a sort of socially withdrawn figure who may be connecting with people in the game, but is largely dropping out of education and other social opportunities.”

Such prolonged gaming will be the ruin of our culture, if we allow it.

Pastor’s Note – If you or your teen is suffering from World of Warcraft addiction, please discuss with your pastor and also visit Teen Challenge for resources on beating your addiction.

Speaking Truth Will Cost You!

The Wisdom of Tozer

“One reason for the divorce between truth and life may be lack of the Spirit’s illumination. Another surely is the teacher’s unwillingness to get himself into trouble. Any man with fair pulpit gifts can get on with the average congregation if he just “feeds” them and lets them alone. Give them plenty of objective truth and never hint that they are wrong and should be set right, and they will be content! But the man who preaches truth and applies it to the lives of his hearers will feel the nails and the thorns. He will lead a hard life — but a glorious one!
